Just how well is the UK Olympics team doing right now? Amazingly well!!! Gold medals won by Adam Peaty, Mo Farah and Helen Glover – just to name a few! Silver medals are now hanging around the necks of competitors like Bryony Page, Jazmin Carlin and Louis Smith. Not forgetting those with Bronze medals like Edward Ling and Steven Scott. I’m sure there are many more medals to be won by the UK’s top male and female athletes.

To celebrate the wins and to commiserate the brave who missed out, I raise a glass and admire you all.

When I say raise a glass, I fully intended to raise a glass of British tradition. When the Olympics is on, it’s Pimms O’clock!

There are some fab ideas of what to do with a bottle of Pimms. Not just pouring it into glass and drinking it, oh no – there is indeed more than that!

Lets start with drinks though…

Very berry Pimm’s recipe – Tesco Realfood

Celebrate in style with our berry version of a classic Pimm’s cocktail. Impress your al fresco dinner guests with these refreshing drinks at your next barbecue blowout or pack it away with you on a picnic.

How to Make the Perfect Jug of Pimm’s – Good House Keeping

Do you know how to make Pimm’s properly? From the mint leaves and sliced strawberries to the ratio of Pimm’s and lemonade, here’s everything you need to know about making the Summer cocktail.

To be honest,  searching and checking out other ideas proved there are few variations, these two seems to be typical of what’s available. So I’m not going to bore you with more ideas that differ only slightly from each other. Besides, there are more exciting things you can make…

Pimms and strawberry Pavlovas – Great British Chefs

When I decided to recreate a Pimms with a difference I did away with the cucumber slices, as I prefer to leave them in my salads rather than my desserts. I think you’ll agree that these individual desserts would still be perfect served at a Royal event.

Strawberry & Pimm’s Jam – Dumo

A British summertime classic. Makes for a deliciously decadent breakfast, spread over hot buttered toast. Just as perfect as part of an indulgent afternoon tea, spooned onto sweet cream scones. Or why not layer it up in a Victoria Sponge cake and serve alongside a glass of Pimm’s at your next garden party? However you choose to serve it, whip up a batch of this Strawberry & Pimm’s Jam and it’ll always be Pimm’s o’clock!

Pimms Berry Sorbet – Sarahri

After seeing a basic sorbet recipe on Facebook a few weeks back I was determined to make my own. So the next thing to decide was what flavour sorbet did I want to make? I decided to make a sorbet that screamed summer! So what does Summer taste like to me? A cold glass of Pimms with fresh berries.
