Three Stews To Keep You Warm During Cold And Wintry Days

Stews To Keep You Warm

The East Coast of the USA is suffering from snow storms, the UK is decidedly chilly and here in France – well oddly it’s quite warm at 15c. Still, the evenings are cold and heart warming food is still the order the day. So, with that in mind, I’ve been taking a look at Stews To Keep You Warm. The kind of stew that requires only one pot and plenty of time. I love one pot cooking. It keeps things simple, intensifies flavours and cuts down on the washing up. Always important if you have a small or tiny kitchen!

After checking the web over the weekend, here’s my selection of recipes from those that I found. The ones you really should be looking at. By the way, they’re not your run of the mill stews. It’s time to broaden your horizons and try something exotic!

Big Cook. Tiny Kitchen – South American Inspired Black Bean and Quinoa Stew

I created this dish out of various bottom of the fridge ingredients and recommend you do the same with whatever root veg you have languishing behind the half eaten jars of chutney.

The Hedge Combers – Chicken Chorizo and Chickpea Stew

This Chicken Chorizo and Chickpea Stew is nourishing, comforting and bursting with flavour. Make a big batch and reheat it at work to make all your colleagues green with envy 😉

Supergolden Bakers – One-Pot Beef Stifado Stew

This is quite possibly one the most intense tasting and aromatic stews out there (on par with the blog’s most popular recipe), full of festive spices like cloves, cinnamon and allspice.
