Today’s recipe comes via the Farmersgirl Kitchen blog which is run by Janice. She has been blogging about food and crafts since 2007. She has shared with us her recipe for Smoked Mackerel Pate , it’s my co-blogger Lucy’s favourite thing and I rather like it as well. So I’m rather pleased we get to write about it!

It has been some time since I made Smoked Mackerel Pate, I can’t imagine why as we all love it. Usually I make it with cream cheese but today I went for a lighter version and it was very good, served on toast with a little side salad.

Great serving suggestions, do you have any others?

What You Will Need For Smoked Mackerel Pate
(serves 3-4)

  • 200g Smoked Mackerel, skin removed
  • 2 tbsp 0% fat Greek Yoghurt
  • 1 tsp Creamed Horseradish
  • Juice of half a lemon
