About the author: Kaitie Lawlor

Some of my best memories involve delicious food, great company and sitting around a kitchen table. Growing up, I remember countless Saturday nights not eating dinner until 8 pm – my parents were talking, my mom cooking, and making Saturday night an event. Our house smelled delightful, and at times, when I’m making a ‘saturday night event’ I can still remember being a kid and waiting (somewhat) patiently for my mom to call me for dinner. Growing up in a small town south of Ottawa, Canada, there were no take-out places that didn't involve pizza. So my mom would make the ‘take-out’, everything from wings & fries to an elaborate pasta meal. These are the nights I want re-create for my family. Find out more at my website - Fuchsia Freezer.
