3 Easy Hummus Recipes From Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall

hummus recipes

With summer not far away, I’ve been checking out various hummus recipes. It’s really not that difficult to make and can be a lovely addition to a salad. Especially if you include some flat bread. You can turn an everyday lunch in to something much more interesting.

There are many varying hummus recipes and not all of them use chickpeas. Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall demonstrates in the video alternatives that look just as good. If you’re trying to be authentic then you’ll need chickpeas but the best part of cooking is using what you have to hand in new and interesting ways.

Hugh’s recipe does call for tahini (also required for authentic hummus), something I’m sure most supermarkets currently stock. A quick check of Tesco’s website shows they have three types, prices starting at £1.99.
