Goodbye 2015, Here’s to 2016 & All That It Offers!

happy-new-year

As another year comes to a close, we look forward to a new one and all the opportunities that it brings. There will be more foodie blogs launched, more great content to discover and we hope to be there to share it all with you. The world of food keeps changing, the amount of new ideas just shows how creative people can be!

As a blogger, I’m always interested in how well various posts performed. Which ones did well, which ones did badly and the ones that proved to be a bit of a surprise. Looking in to our stats, I can share with you the top ten posts of 2015. I must admit, they’re not quite what I thought they would be…

  1. The Hairy Bikers – sausage casserole
  2. Rick Stein’s Moroccan Spicy Meat Ball Tagine
  3. Rick Steins Turkish spicy lamb flat bread
  4. Hairy Bikers: Chicken Casserole With Potato Cobbler
  5. Salmon & Asparagus Terrine
  6. Paul Hollywood Week: The Great British Chelsea Bun
  7. Make your own doughnuts with Paul Hollywood
  8. Raymond Blanc’s onion tart
  9. Delia Smith – Meatball Casserole
  10. How to identify your chilli peppers!

Of course, a new year means a new Great British Bake Off competition. Over the years it has become a huge hit. The 2015 winner may of been a surprise to some but most thought Nadiya was a worthy winner. There’s been new books from the likes of Tom Kerridge and Oz Clarke. Not to mention that the UK’s favourite cook is now Mary Berry after her appearances on Bake Off and in her own TV programs.

In 2016, we aim to continue bringing you great recipes from food bloggers all over the world. We are also looking to expand with new writers and content. If you would like to be part of Cookery Ideas in 2016 then please get in touch.

In the mean time, we are taking a little break and will be back with you real soon. Thanks to everyone who has contributed, stopped by for a read and helped build Cookery Ideas in to a great site to visit. Happy New Year!
